Jan 17, 2011. In this post we will tell you how to install Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 on VMware 7.0. Note: These instructions can. Hey i have downloaded vmware 8 and i have tried to install win server 2k8 r2 on it but giving me some kinds of errors like.vmki file is missing or other files. Tell me what to do?

Finally i have installed it without adding the OS disk in the initial setup. But the problem here is that its asking me activation key. If you have the activation key for 180 days please let me know. I see some posts in VMware communities, they face same kind of error with other VMware WS versions. Anyway try below solution, I believe it will help you somehow. When you create a New virtual machine - Choose the option: I will install the operating system later.(The virtual machine will be created with a blank hard disk.) Hi after the above step even,, this will not work for some users (including me) once manually selecting the iso file is done.

Next is to right click the whatever windows o/s whether it be Windows 8.1 or Server 2012 R2. Go to manage go to compatibility choose VMware 9.0 click next - pick the option to alter this VMware version ( don't check first option to clone - not at all ) it will remove cd/dvd option at all. That's fine not to panic. To add cd/dvd - go to settings and add cd/dvd and it will ask you the path to choose iso so again don't select autodetect. Now browse to the location where your iso is downloaded. And now right click the Windows 2012 R2 and you are in a good shape.

It worked for me 100%. Wish you best luck. For any questions tushar.modha at gmail dot com.

Sometimes we try an do things that just shouldn’t work. Maybe they aren’t supported or there technology isn’t designed for that type of activity.

Whatever the reason, we tend to do this every so often, adding even more gusto to the task when people tell us that it can’t be done. Low and behold, I had one of these tasks last week.

I needed to spin up a virtual machine running Windows Server 2012 on VMWare Workstation 8. For those that don’t know, the current release of VMWare Workstation is version 9. This version fully supports Windows Server 2012, but version 8 does not. And this was the crux of my problem. I had version 8, but not 9 and I couldn’t just upgrade, as was suggested by others.

But the question is, who do I go about getting VMWare 8 to load an OS that it doesn’t recognize or support? It’s actually pretty easy, when you know what needs to be done, and doesn’t veer too far off what is done with other operating systems on VMWare. The five steps are: • Configure the virtual machine in VMWare Workstation 8 with the Windows Server 2008 R2 template, but do not load the operating system. • Power on the virtual machine and manually load Windows Server 2012. • When the install completes, power down the virtual machine and modify the 3D graphics settings to enable Accelerate 3D graphics (). • Power on the virtual machine and install VMWare tools. • Eat dry white toast and kick butt.

Crack Lingua Italiana F1 2012 Torrent more. Run through these and you’ll have your virtual machines running on VMWare 8 and be full from a nifty snack.
