So I was thinking of installing Arch Linux but one thing that worries me is having to use pacman. Every software is usually available as a deb package but I'm not sure if it'd be available for pacman since I've never seen it listed officially by any software. Since I think the main point of Arch Linux is to be able to configure every single part of the system I was thinking it must be possible to use deb packages and I was wondering if someone have already done it. I've read people say that I should use pacman instead, I'd just like to know if it's possible to get it working perfectly. Also, if you think I'm just being stupid, please give me a detailed reason why I should switch to pacman instead.
